Biscuit (cookie) flavour: Orange, cardamom & vanilla
Decoration: Royal icing base. Some designs painted onto royal icing using food colouring gels and vodka, others piped in royal icing.
Context: Each biscuit is inspired by a costume, portrait, or place featuring in my book, Shakespeare in Elizabethan Costume: ‘Period Dress’ in Twenty-First-Century Performance (published by Bloomsbury on 16 June 2022).
