David Parr House

Biscuit (cookie) flavour: Orange, cardamom, and vanilla

Decoration: Royal icing base. The designs are painted by hand using gel food colourings, edible lustre, and vodka. Additional details piped in royal icing.

Context: This biscuit set is inspired by the David Parr House in Cambridge (UK). David Parr was a working-class Victorian decorative artist. Between 1886 and 1927, Parr painted the walls of his modest terraced home (186 Gwydir Street) with intricate Arts & Crafts patterns.

Each biscuit is based on a room in the David Parr House. Moving from left to right, the biscuits are inspired by: the drawing room walls, the kitchen, the drawing room ceiling, and the upstairs bedrooms.
